Usually, high school students who are not in their senior year are not offered with scholarship. As there are a variety of schools offering senior scholarship tips, freshman, sophomores and juniors feel lthat they do not have chance to grab any occasion of scholars. They wonder if they should even apply at all.

Well, if you are not a senior, your scholarship options are limited. However, you can still apply for essay scholarships. One of the best involves analyzing The Fountainhead, an Ayn Rand novel. With over 200 awards available each year, this scholarship is one of the easier ones to win. Just write a good paper and pay close attention to the Fountainhead essay instructions. Found on the Essay Contest website, they give you detailed formatting instructions as well as submission deadlines.

Additional essay scholarships can be found by researching specific organizations. Others will only offer scholarships to juniors. In either case, keep in mind that unlike the Fountainhead essay scholarship, these awards may not be granted based on writing ability alone. You may also need extensive community service.
